Our Sustainability Mission

Sustainability

Today, being sustainable is not just "hippie talk", it is the need of the hour. It is a way of life destined to become the norm — on both personal and corporate levels. Creating a sustainable future doesn't happen by dreaming alone; it happens with actions. From reusing paint cans to now using sustainable plant-based paints, we are moving towards more sustainability every day. We protect the future by taking green action every day.

Bourne Decorators and Edward Bulmer Natural Paint

With sustainability and climate change being the key talking points at this present time, we at Bourne Decorators are very excited about our new relationship with Edward Bulmer Natural Paint, based in Herefordshire, England. We want to let both — our current and potential customers — know that there is an organic and practical alternative to solvent-based paints and some popular water-based paints today.

Please browse their website www.edwardbulmerpaint.co.uk for further information and indicate on our enquiry form if you would be interested in using these paints.

Paint Can Recycling with Crown Paints

We are already working closely with Crown Paints, who pick up all our empty plastic and metal paint containers for recycling. Bourne Decorators are pleased to do all we can to reduce pollution. With the help and cooperation of a growing number of companies and consumers, we are doing our part toward sustainability.

Not Just Words, Real Sustainable Actions

Not Just Words, Real Sustainable Actions

We are presently working on a refurbishment project at Lockerley Hall near Romsey in Hampshire, a grand grade 2 listed building on substantial grounds. Working closely with Tabitha, the estate manager, who works closely with the clients, Edward Bulmer Natural Paint is the paint of choice. We at Bourne Decorators are delighted with the ease of application, opacity, and extensive colour palette choice. Our main opposition to water-based eggshell paint has always been opacity and adhesion, especially when applied on existing oil-based paints. This paint is miles ahead of its competitors and a joy to use.
